Since Reynald had been born in the middle of the heaviest blizzard Jeyne could remember on the island, perhaps it was only fitting that he was so enthralled by snow now. Though relieved to finally have the end of pregnancy in sight a long labour leaves Elizabeth even less enthused with her new baby son. Aware it is not the baby's fault she does her best to listen to Dr. Keller's advice. James is much more pleased by parenthood though sympathetic to Elizabeth and grateful to Dr. Keller.
